A Night with The Normal Anomaly
The Normal Anomaly Initiative, Inc., a Houston-based community health organization advancing the health, power, and well-being of marginalized communities, is bringing the community together for its annual Holiday Gala. The celebration honors Black LGBTQIA+ leadership, impact, and resilience across the South while commemorating World AIDS Day and celebrating the holiday season. Hundreds of community leaders, partners, advocates, and supporters will gather for an evening of connection, celebration, and, of course, their most fabulous lewks.

Black Like That Community Festival
Black Like That Community Festival is the Normal Anomaly Initiative’s celebration of Black culture, community, health, and joy. Bringing together community members, local organizations, entrepreneurs, artists, and advocates, the festival creates a vibrant space to access resources, support Black-owned businesses, enjoy live entertainment, and celebrate the many ways Black communities thrive. More than an event, Black Like That is an opportunity to build connection, strengthen community, and experience Black joy together.
Curated Spaces
Community Convenings
Community Convenings & Conversations create space for people to come together around the issues, ideas, and opportunities shaping our communities. Through town halls, panels, listening sessions, screenings, workshops, and other gatherings, The Normal Anomaly brings community members, leaders, partners, and advocates into conversation—creating opportunities to share knowledge, build relationships, elevate community voice, and move ideas toward collective action.
